Little Things Love

Hi there, Pixie Dusted Pretties! How are you doing?! I truly hope all is well for you. This past week, I've been feeling the best I have in a while. I wanted to compile some different little things (Disney and otherwise) that have had me feeling quite happy and content.

Top 10 Little Things I've Been Loving!

1.) New Tunes!
I am definitely a pop hits girl, so I've been loving Neon Trees and Paramore recently! Oh, and Sam Smith. I'm obsessing over him. Check him out!

2. The Downtown Disney Co-op Opening Today
I'm a sucker for Disney merch. Plus, you can buy this FANTASTIC merchandise online. :O

3. Finding Something Good in EVERY Day!
This one is super easy to do, but lately I've been finding all of my days have just been glorious recently. I've been smiling a lot- hopefully you have too!

4. Beauty and the Beast
This has been one of those weeks where I have been re-OBSESSING over my favorite movie of all time...! Did you all hear about the live-action film in the works? EEP!

5. New Opportunities
These can be scary- the prospect of something new can be slightly terrifying. Sometimes we just can't get ourselves to think about what our future has in store for us. If you get a cool or crazy opportunity to do something new-try it and you'll probably surprise yourself. Trust me on this one. I know first hand. :)

6. Mickey Shaped Pixie Dust
I used to collect this stuff ALL THE TIME from my Disney trips and Disney Birthday celebrations. Recently, I found a huge bag of it and have been sprinkling it everywhere. Because you wouldn't expect anything less from me!

7. Being Nice to People Who Aren't So Nice
Oooh, I know this is hard sometimes. Why should I be nice to people who are grumps? Sometimes even they need a bit of sparkle in their lives! If they stay that way, at least you tried! And trust me, you are awesome for staying kind and respectful.

8. Dark Chocolate Truffles
'Nuff said.

9. Creative People
I love surrounding myself with people who want to change the world in unique ways. Creative people are so very inspiring to be around. I adore them. Actors. Writers. Artists. Dancers. These people have a mission AND a vision!

10. Sunshine
Today at lunch with some friends, we all remarked about the sunshine was making us feel. The warmth was inviting. It was comforting. This Friday, in particular, the Sun reminded me that I'm very happy with how everything has been going lately. I'm a sunny person, and I'm staying that way!

That is all for now! I hope this got you thinking about your "little things" that put a smile on your face. Make sure to let me know what yours are in the comments! Or tweet me @PrincessofPD! :D

Stay HAPPY,

Positively Pretty

I must admit: I love fashion. It is my other great love besides Disney. I love reading fashion magazines, researching the latest styles, and building a wardrobe all around my personal taste. I have to say I am a very classic person in general, and that is definitely reflected in my fashion choices (think pearls, classic cuts, etc.). However, I am also quite the glittery girl, and I do enjoy some pixie dust to make an appearance in my outfits. Being a proponent of inner beauty, I believe what really makes a girl beautiful is her positive, happy attitude and kind manners. Fashion is simply a way I express myself, and I love aiding others in finding their personal style. Keeping all that in mind, I decided I would show you a Princess inspired look that I've created based on the ever so classic classic Beauty, Belle. She is the epitome of poise, grace, and inner beauty.

The golden yellow dress in a classic style is accented by the rose gold jewelry and nail polish. The glittery gold flats are such an adorable addition to the outfit. I couldn't resist adding King Arthur to this photo set, as a nod to the Broadway musical rendition of "Beauty and the Beast."

I really enjoyed coming up with this Princess look and would love to create more in the future. Let me know if you like this type of post, and tell me in the comments what your personal style is and how it reflects your inner Princess.

My inner beauty tip of the day is: You are enough. Think about it. You are beautiful, smart, and special. You are in charge of your qualities, and you can always improve yourself! However, in the meantime, know that you are so incredibly unique, and, you my friend, are enough.

XOXO,
The Pixie Dust Princess

The Pixie Dust Princess Dines: Be Our Guest!

Let me introduce you to Be Our Guest. It is my favorite place to dine in the Magic Kingdom currently. I've been there for lunch not once, but twice! I love saying that :) Beauty and the Beast is my favorite movie and this restaurant does it justice for SURE!

Breathtaking view, right? There is a restaurant in there, too, if you can believe it! Wahoo! Picturesque scenery & FOOD. See those lanterns? They are the marking posts of a long wait to come. However, the two times I've visited, the wait has not been unbearable at all!

A better look at the castle. Oh Beast, where are you?! Come out, come out, wherever you are! You seem pretty friendly, and furry! :0)

Sad or happy gargoyle? I think he is just shy.

Once inside, you wait some more, but you are greeted by friendly knights of shining armor and fancy screens that display your lunch options!

My favorite part: dessert.

There are then kiosks available where you order with a real life Cast Member! (Side note: it is REALLY easy to change your order around a bit- you don't want béchamel on your Croque Monsieur? No worries- that is totally possible!) You are almost on your way to eating lunch! Once you are handed a red rose (for magical location purposes) you can fill up your own cups and get utensils. Then find a seat and you will be served via a cast member with a nifty cart (they showcase your food- so cool).

Do you see the beauty and attention to detail on the ceiling of the main ballroom alone?! Ah Disney Imagineering, how I love you! Not pictured are the library (where I ate my first visit) and the West Wing (which I personally find to be too dark and loud to eat peacefully). All three options are great, though, and there is PLENTY of seating.

Now, for the main order of business- THE FOOD! This vegetable quiche I did not try, but the party member who did enjoy this loved it! A great healthier, lighter option. Still super filling, though!

Ok, this is the STAR  in my mind. This Braised Pork was tender, juicy, and overall super flavorful. This filled me for the WHOLE day! It has mixed veggies and mashed potatoes on the side. I want it right now. SO good. (Sidenote: I really recommend this AND the Croque Monsieur to everyone, so I recommend this to YOU too!)

Here is the Carved Turkey Sandwich. I had a bite. It was really good! I love the fries here because they are definitely just your regular old Disney fries! They're the best, in my opinion!

The cupcakes here are literally delicious and fancy. This is the Master's Cupcake. I figured I needed a little grey stuff in my life. But there was MORE than a little- there was a TON of it and I believe it even filled the center of the chocolate cake. This did not disappoint. Once again, I want one right now!

I am a huge fan of lemon! This Lemon Meringue Cupcake was really flavorful from the bite I had. I've also had the Strawberry Cupcake in the past and that one is my favorite! It is pink, too, so of course I loved it! ;)

Overall, I highly recommend Be Our Guest for a rich, filling, and royal lunch! I'm looking forward to having dinner here in the future, which I'm sure will blow me away. Have you dined in the Beast's Castle? Do you love it like I do? What was your fave thing to eat here? Let me know in the comments or tweet me https://twitter.com/PrincessofPD!

Try the Grey Stuff! It REALLY IS DELICIOUS,

The WONDERFUL World of Links!

Why yes, this is my own photography! Looking forward to incorporating more of it into upcoming posts!

With summer almost here, I've been doing a lot of daydreaming about... you guessed it- DISNEY! I've been wishing to plan a trip, I've been thinking about my favorite Disney foods and just generally missing it a lot. Of course, I've been doing a lot of good old web surfing and I've compiled a list of fun Disney-fied links I've enjoyed recently. Share your own favorite Disney link in the comments below or tweet me yours @PrincessofPD!

This Disney drink makes me scared and intrigued at the same time. Oh, Disney and your creative concoction! Love the creativity behind it, though.

The rain we had a few days ago left me feeling quite nostalgic when I remembered these little beauties. I used to love donning these a few years back. They were quite fashionable, in my opinion! ;D

"Sparkly Nicole" has always been one of my faves-she just oozes positivity and creativity. A few days ago she posted this awesome post which made me wish I was at EPCOT right now! Those candied strawberries look right up my alley.

Youtube never fails me- I found this gem of a show again and watched it when I was missing it more than ever. It'll always "be in my heart!"

Disney Parks Blog has released the treats that will be making an appearance at the "Rock Your Disney Side" 24 hour event. I really wish I was going just for the Poisoned Apple Shortcake Sundae.

Nail art and Disney? Yes and yes. Take a look at this gallery for some inspiration. #22 is definitely something I could do and is totally my style. #50 is just plain adorable.

There is a mother of an amazing boy, who also happens to have Autism, who posts their Disney adventures on YouTube. I've enjoyed watching for quite sometime now and the videos really touch me. His story is just so heartwarming and is filled with Disney magic.

That's all for now! If you enjoyed this type of post, let me know! I love hearing your feedback.

Keep Dreaming,
The Pixie Dust Princess

Disney Snacks: EPCOT

I've saved EPCOT for the last destination in my Disney Snacks series. It is my favorite place for snacking in the "world." First of all, we have Future World which does offer pretty good snack items. However, the real star of EPCOT when it comes to snacking is World Showcase! Just so you know, I am more of a sweet than savory type of snacker, so if this post seems heavy on the sweet treats, that's why! :) Here are a few of my favorite snacks in the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow!

-Future World-
Basically, you've got to head to Sunshine Seasons in the Land because it is pure snacking paradise. Also, I could probably eat each meal there, too, but I digress... ;)

Strawberry Shortcake
Sunshine Seasons
This is a classic dessert that delivers in flavor. The moist cake is so good. But with plenty of juicy strawberries and cream? It is even better.

Key Lime Tart
Sunshine Seasons
Key lime pie is one of my all time favorite desserts. They place the thick, tangy pie filling in a circular graham cracker crust and top it with meringue. All together, you've got a tart and sweet treat.

White Chocolate Mocha Frap
Fountainview Starbucks
Many of us are very thankful that Starbucks is available in Disney Parks now. This is my personal favorite frap-it's so creamy and so refreshing on a hot day at the parks. It is incredibly sweet though, so be prepared for a SUGAR RUSH (and slight kick of caffeine) if you order this.

-World Showcase-
I'm only going to pick a select few snacks here, but I could definitely do a whole post on snacking around the world. If you're interested in that, leave a comment or tweet me at @princessofpd!

Strawberry Red Bean Ice Cream
Joy of Tea, China
I've only ever had this ice cream at Nine Dragons, but you can also get it at Joy of Tea. Next trip, I will be sure to pick up this refreshing, sweet treat here so I can take it to go. This snack kiosk also offers a good variety of rolls, buns and pockets.

Empanada de Queso
La Cantina de San Angel, Mexico
At this Mexican  counter service restaurant, I like to share these with my party. They are rich, delicious and filling. Oh, and cheesy. I love cheese.

Viking Chocolate Mousse AND School Bread
Kringla Bakery Og Kafe, Norway
Basically, everything I've ever tasted at this bakery is divine and everything I've ever seen be enjoyed by other guests looks amazing. You need to stop here for one of my favorites, or maybe you'll find your own!

Bisque De Homard
Les Halles Bakery, France
I can definitely say with all of my heart that this is my favorite place to snack in EPCOT, maybe even in all of Disney World! Of course, the desserts here are all fabulous (accordiong to moi!), but this lobster bisque is so creamy and rich. Definitely a favorite.

Black Forest Cake
Sommerfest, Germany
This is a rich chocolate-cherry cake that is super popular in Germany. It is also popular with me ;) I also can't wait to try the Nudel Gratin from here- have any of you tried it?

Happy Snacking!

What is Pixie Dust and Where Can I Find Some?

A huge part of this blog is about these two words: pixie and dust! Together, I think they have a nice ring to them: pixie dust! It sounds adorable, yes, but the meaning behind these two words in conjunction is something special. Let's explore the idea of what pixie dust is and means, shall we?!

My first introduction to the phrase "pixie dust" was in Walt Disney's 1953 animated classic "Peter Pan" along with J.M. Barrie's book, "Peter Pan." Tinkerbell, the sassy fairy, had this glimmering dust, which allowed her to fly. Others who were granted this dust also had the ability to fly.

"All you need is faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie dust." Peter Pan

This glittery dust was sparkly and golden. It was beautiful, sure, but it was small. It is dust, after all. I've thought long and hard about pixie dust. I've wished for this fictional dust on more than one occasion. Times when I've felt sad or uninspired. I thought it was really special that such a small fairy could hold all this power in her. Why couldn't I have some pixie dust? I surely needed it.

However, as I've grown, I've realized we all have the ability to share pixie dust with others. Maybe not in the form of gold dust, but in the form of kind words and thoughts. The pixie dust I have received from family, friends, Cast Members in the Disney Parks, or the online Disney community makes me feel special, just as Wendy felt when she had the ability to fly. She was able to forget all her cares and fly away with Peter Pan over clouds in the dark of night.

"So come with me, where dreams are born, and time is never planned. Just think of happy things, and your heart will fly on wings, forever, in Never Never Land!" Peter Pan

Pixie dust creates memories- moments that truly do last a lifetime. Disney has sprinkled this pixie dust on me, and therefore, I feel I need to share it with others.

I want to remind you all that: "To live will be an awfully big adventure." Life is special.

So the next time you wonder where you can get some pixie dust, just look around. Pixie dust is in a smile form a stranger, in a kind gesture, in looking for the good in others.

I know Peter would say "girls talk too much," or maybe even *think* too much, and maybe I am reading into the idea of pixie dust too much. In my heart, though, I truly believe Disney has created pixie dust for all who believe in it and it's power.

I have one plea for you all: don't doubt you can fly. Pan warned us "the moment you doubt" it is "the moment you forever cease to be able to do it."

You can fly, and you can soar. Pixie dust will forever be the heart of my blog because it allows us to soar to unimaginable heights. Let's take flight together.

Pixie Dust Forever,

Why I'm Excited for The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train has been highly anticipated by all Disney fans! It promises the whimsy of a classic Disney attraction along with a new venue for mild thrill seekers! The Mine Train we've all been anxiously awaiting is almost ready for business! On our recent Disney trips, we've taken a "peek" at the great progress the Imagineers have been making.

Or maybe on our more recent trips, we've seen the mine train running with nary a guest!

We long to be on that bumpy train, to visit our favorite friends while seeing them do what they do best- mine for glittering gems!

Well, folks, the time is almost here!
May 28th
is the OFFICIAL date set for the grand opening of the Seven Dwarves Mine Train to the public!
In fact, we know this because Walt Disney Parks and Resorts chairman Tom Staggs told us so at a special press event at the Magic Kingdom!

The reason why I'm so excited for this ride is because there is simply no other like it! The mix of thrill ride and classic Disney dark ride is just amazing. The rickety little train carts rock back and forth, as though you are going to mine some gems just as the dwarfs do! These trains wind around, and up and down the mountain to add to the excitement!

Plus, the train slows down at some points so you can take in the magical animatronics! It is seriously amazing what these Imagineers can do! These aren't your ordinary animatronics. Oh no! You can see their facial expressions changing- the same type of technology was used in the animatronics at Enchanted Tales with Belle!

AND there is an interactive queue! It is sure to please the kiddos and kids at heart during the wait.

From what we have seen and heard, this ride is going to be worth the wait! On my next trip to the World, I'll be sure to take some pictures for an in-depth review. For now, I'll be humming "Hi Ho..."

A Million Diamonds Shining,

Resolutions- Disney Style!

Happy New Year Pixie Dust People!
I have a feeling that 2014 will be a wonderful year full of renewed hope and fulfilled dreams… and plenty of pixie dust (of course)! If you're in need of a little help with your resolutions this new year, look no further than your favorite Disney characters. Even if you just need a little dose of inspiration, Disney characters are often filled with wisdom! I've found they have some pretty good advice when it comes to life, love, and happiness! These are a few of my favorite quotes from a tumblr page dedicated to Disney quotes! Think through these and what they mean to you.

How to Disney-fy your DIS-EMBER!

Jolly Holiday Greetings!

As promised, I'm here with my first official DIS-EMBER post! Today I will be sharing five tips to enhance your December by putting some pixie dust into your daily activities! Let's jump right into it!

1.) Start your day off with some Hot Cocoa, Cffee, or Tea... in a festive Disney Mug!

I love sipping a nice warm beverage in the morning during chillier months. It just starts my day off on the right foot! Make sure you have an adorable Disney mug to sip from! I like Nestle Hot Chocolate with lots of mini marshmallows or a homemade peppermint mocha, personally.

2.) Decorate Like Disney!

Disney is known for going all out with their decorations, so why can't you?! Of course you can't exactly replicate the gorgeous decor of the parks, but you can add as much festive flair to your home or living space as you'd like! Make sure to add some Disney ornaments and other sparkly trinkets around the house for that extra magical feel!

3.) Listen to your favorite Disney Christmas songs!

Disney always has the best music, but I don't need to tell you that! Make sure to mix in some tunes sung by your fave furry creatures to your Christmas playlist. They're just so gosh darn adorable- their voices make you melt like Olaf!

4.) Bake some cookies!

Whether you like to make tasty homemade sugar or gingerbread cookies from scratch or you prefer to make them from a package, it doesn't matter! What matters is that they're delicious and they always get you in the holiday spirit!

5.) Spread Christmas Cheer!

The "Disney Way" is something to embody every day, not just during the holiday season. If you've got out of touch with it though, the best way to rekindle that magical Disney spirit is during the season of giving! Give some small presents, or those cookies you baked, (see tip 4!) to family, neighbors, friends, or those in need. It will make you feel wonderful, and you'll make someone genuinely happy. There is no better way to "live like Disney" than to make others feel special.

Happy DISEMBER Dis-friends,
The Pixie Dust Princess

As always feel free to leave any comments, questions, or pixie dust ;) below...

Throwback Thursday: Share a Dream Come True...Truly!

Many people say it is every little girl's dream to be a Disney Princess. When I was eight years old, I was able to live out that fantasy...

It was our yearly spring break to Disney World, and I was ever so excited to get to the first park, which is always Magic Kingdom for my family! As I held my mother's hand through the turnstiles, I was overcome with that feeling I still get every time I enter a Disney Park entrance- pure joy and peace (because I'm home). Even so, it was simply an ordinary Magic Kingdom park day, and my parents and I strolled onto Main Street U.S.A. I remember barely even getting a glimpse at my lovely Cinderella Castle, when all of a sudden a man in a plaid suit and fancy name tag approached us. Keep in mind I had a huge grin on my face already...it was about to become the widest, most goofy grin you've ever seen! :) The CM began talking to my family about Disney, how often we visit, what my favorite things to do were, my favorite princess, and more Disney talk. It was absolutely shocking however, when all of a sudden he knelt down beside me and said, "Well, do you want to be a princess today? Would you and your parents like to be the Grand Marshals of our parade? I think you're the perfect Disney family for it!" I remember getting teary eyed (I was an emotional and grateful child, haha) and nodding and saying "Yes, thank you, thank you, thank you" over and over again. My parents' faces lit up with excitement, too. Who wouldn't want the amazing chance to be the Grand Marshals of the Parade? This year, it was the "Share A Dream Come True" Parade, which I absoluteley adored. My mind began racing,  even though the CM was still talking, telling us all the special details my day would be filled with. My heart was racing too, and my grin was expanding by the second.  He went on to say we'd be getting a special surprise later on, to enjoy a few hours in the park, and to meet him by the entrance of the parade- to the left of Splash Mountain. Well, those few hours happened to be the most wonderful blur and soon enough, we were at the designated meeting spot. Once we arrived, the CM pulled out of a Disney bag three pairs of Mickey Ears, each engraved in gold lettering with our names. It was such a magical present, and I still have them in my room to this day! We were instructed to wear them while riding in the parade. All of a sudden, a blue, old fashioned car appeared before my eyes, and the CM announced "This is what you'll be riding in today, Walt's old car he used to ride around the Magic Kingdom in with his wife, Lilian!" I was in shock- me.in my idol's car.in front of all these people. This was seriously a dream come true. As we hopped in, we saw the parade floats in the backstage area all lined up and ready to go. A nice man was to walk alongside us and he called me Princess the entire way. He was hilarious and showed me how to do the signature Princess wave, and I, of course, mimicked him! My parents were just as excited as I was- everyone is a kid at heart, especially at Disney! All of a sudden, our personal driver took off down the parade route, and before I knew it the music was pumping and I got the biggest adrenaline rush of my life! We led the parade itself, and rode down the route waving, with permanent smiles that lasted the entire trip! They announced our last name, where we were from, and I felt like true Disney royalty! It seemed like it lasted forever, and even still, I didn't want this once in a lifetime opportunity to end! People waved and smiled at us, and I truly felt like a little Princess! I danced along in my seat to the catchy soundtrack and waved so much, my arm felt like it was going to fall off. In the end, though, it didn't even matter because this would end up being the most magical Disney moment of my life! As we rode to the Car Barn (where we were unloaded from Walt's car), we got plenty of pictures and were able to thank the wonderful CMs who made the entire experience possible. The rest of the day I was beaming, and I told everyone how we were in the parade that day! Later on, we actually bumped into some neighbors from home and they said they heard our town announced and couldn't believe it- only in DISNEY would this happen! What a small world. This was an experience that was priceless, and it all came with admission to the park, and LOTS of pixie dust! Since that experience every time we see that CM, he rarely remembers us until we retell him the story of the day he made US the Grand Marshals- then he remembers and we make sure to tell him how he changed our lives that day! Disney can do so much for you, and I am so blessed that it is such a signifiant part of my life. Now that I've been a tiny princess Grand Marshal in the parade...I would love to be friends with a real Princess one day... You know what they say... "When you wish upon a star...":)

Love and Pixie Dust Always,
*The Pixie Dust Princess*

p.s. I want to hear your most magical moment at the Disney parks! What made it so memorable? Any questions for me pertaining to my personal experience as the Grand Marshal? Leave 'em in the comments below! <3 Share YOUR DREAM COME TRUE!

Tuesday Treat: NEW Gourmet Cake Cups at MK's Cheshire Cafe

If you are a big Alice in Wonderland fan, or even just a fan of the teacups in Disney World, you probably have visited the Cheshire Cafe in the Magic Kingdom for a drink or snack! It is not a very well known quick service snack spot, but I've always enjoyed it for an Iced Mocha or Lemonade Slush. Now, I am positive that this cute cafe will be getting a bit more business because. . .

... just LOOK at these adorable NEW cake cups! Ummm, YUM AND WOW (as Queen Stacey would say)! Look at that edible intricate artwork that comes with your layered cake concoction. Next trip to the World, I am stopping by the Chesire Cafe to try these! I am sure I will love them, as Disney's cake products tend to always satisfy my sweet tooth! The Mad Hatter is mocha, while the Cheshire Cat is vanilla. Both cups include moist cake and fluffy frosting layered together to make the perfect treat!

Are you MAD as a hatter for these new cake cups? Let me know in the comments below!

Sweet Salutations,

Pixie Dust Poll: Why Do YOU love the Magic Kingdom?

So, a few days back I conducted a small survey on Twitter! I was very pleased with the small, but enthusiastic response I received. The three following questions were asked:

NAME ONE EMOTION YOU FEEL WHEN YOU WALK INTO THE MAGIC KINGDOM!

NAME YOUR FAVORITE MAGIC KINGDOM LAND!

MICKEY BAR OR DOLE WHIP?! (Ah, the age-old question...)

Here are some of you responses:

NAME ONE EMOTION YOU FEEL WHEN YOU WALK INTO THE MAGIC KINGDOM.

"LOVED"

"OVERJOYED"
"UNREAL-MUCH BETTER THAN REALITY"
"ECSTATIC"
"PEACE....BECAUSE I AM HOME"
"OVERWHELMED...WITH JOY"- 2

MICKEY BAR OR DOLE WHIP?! (ah, the age-old question...)

I conducted this survey simply because I love seeing the grand and the littlest pleasures people find in the Magic Kingdom, which just so happens to be my favorite park! The MK gives guests a certain sense of clarity while fully enchanting them with all the magic the name promises. Everyone feels at home when they see the castle . . . they can feel relaxed or overwhelmed . . . or they can feel utter peace. The Magic Kingdom brings out so many emotions because all of your favorite childhood (and adulthood) favorites come alive before your eyes. You are transported into a storybook filled with magical lands that exude happiness and pure excitement. Around every corner is another adventure, character, or treat. In my personal opinion, everyone should start out their Disney vacation with a stop to the MK to get the full sense of magic that you're about to encounter your entire trip!

p.s Dole Whips can be found in Adventureland- and they both received the highest votes . . . do I see a correlation here . . .? ;)

Did you enjoy this pixie dust poll post? Questions? Comments? What do YOU love about the MK?! Post here, or contact me on twitter: @PrincessofPD

Try the Grey Stuff! It's Delicious!

Bonjour, my lovely readers! It is Wednesday, which means we are talking about Disney delights in the form of FOOD! I have a rumbly in my tummy, and it is because of the best creation now known to man-kind! Whew! Well, I can't speak for it myself, as I've never tried it, but do you know what made is about to make it's amazing appearance at Be Our Guest restaurant in New Fantasyland? I'll let you have a peek...

These are none other than "GREY STUFF CUPCAKES"! Genius! Disney has done it again, folks. I can tell you that the strawberry and chocolate cupcakes are scrumptious, but cookies and cream frosting? This little guy has already won my heart! It looks to me as if this cupcake has a moist chocolate cake, with the "grey stuff" (cookies n' cream) frosting topping it off. With edible pearls, of course. We are in France, after all! :)

Previously, the "Grey Stuff" was only served at dinner, for special occasions, and sometimes, per request. Since I have yet to dine at Be Our Guest for dinner (lunch is so yummy, though!), I have not had the opportunity to try the "Grey Stuff", but I hear it's DIVINE.

Doesn't this cupcake look too pretty to eat? Well, actually, although it is beautiful, I can't wait to devour this "Grey Stuff Cupcake". But don't take my word for it- you'll have to ask the dishes! They think they know it all ;)!

This is Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!

Wait a minute, is that title right, it's not even October yet!
Ah, what my lovely readers are probably saying to themselves right now! Folks, Halloween is right around the corner at the Walt Disney World Resort, and we need to start planning! It's never too early for Disney planning, right? Especially when it comes to an extra special event!

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party begins TOMORROW! HOW EXCITING AND WONDERFUL! I SO wish I was attending! I have never been able to go to my happy place during the fall period. I know, I know, I must go one of these years, but I know I am also very fortunate to have been able to go so many times in my life!

Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year, as is the Fall season in general. I can only imagine how wonderful the "Most Magical Place on Earth" must be during such a mysterious and enchanting time!

MNSSHP runs tomorrow through November 1st, and I hope you are able/ have been able to secure a ticket (starting at $59) if you are planning on visiting the world in the next few months.

This fabulous event includes everything from trick or treating to world class entertainment (including the magnificently eerie Boo To You parade, which I've watched on YouTube many a time) to special meet and greets with your favorite Disney pals (and even some rare Villains!!!).

All I can say is if you are going to this sure to be amazing event, you are in for a treat, literally and figuratively ;)!

Disney actually released the MNSSHP guide map today, so for those of you who are attending/wish to attend/just want a peek at the fun, here it is: http://tinyurl.com/ohedkdj

My Oh My, What A Wonderful Day!

Hello there my pixie dust princesses and princes, do not fear, I am still here. Ooh, a rhyme, I like those! So, my late summer/beginning of fall period has been incredibly busy with new adventures and long adjustment periods. Each week I will try to have a good balance and variety of posts. Without further ado, I give you today's post:

"My oh my, what a wonderful day"! Ah, I just love these lyrics from the token song "Zip-A-Dee Doo-Dah" (from the 1946 film "Song of the South"), known from it's Splash Mountain rendition with all the cute forest critters welcoming you after the huge plummet! This phrase just exudes pure happiness. And let's be honest, don't we just love those days where we can exclaim this phrase with pure honesty and sheer joy? I know I do. Some days you may say, well I wish I could say today was a wonderful day, but x happened, and it kind of bummed me out. We all have days like that, and it is completely normal! Yet, what if you totally tried with all your heart and mind to block out those "x"'s in our life. All the trivial things, people we don't want to deal with, and other frustrating situations. Of course we can't rid of these things, people and situations completely, but we can choose how we decide to deal with them. I know this is a lifelong battle, a daily struggle that people deal with, but I know when I decide to really cherish even the smallest, seemingly minute daily pleasures, that day will turn out to be infinitely better.

Lately, even I, The Pixie Dust Princess has found myself getting into new situations where things don't always go as planned. Yet, I have really been trying to focus on the good, the fun, the exciting. Even taking something boring or dull, like a rainstorm, and dancing in it. I actually took that old phrase, and lived it the other day (wearing no rain gear, mind you) and I had the time of my life. Dealing with difficult situations is never easy, and nobody said it was going to be. Sometimes, life just happens, and we really do need to "keep calm and carry on."

Princesses don't wait for others to make a move, they do their own thing, and therefore, they become special heroines in their own right. Princesses give to others even if they don't have much themselves. Princesses make the conscience decision to forgive and forget, even when it seems too difficult. Princesses find the little joys in life that keep so many going day after day.

We, as Princesses of our own Kingdoms, need to realize that even thought there is plenty of pixie dust in the world, sometimes, it can take a while to find it. That is why I write this blog, to hopefully help someone through a tough day, or to grant a smile or a dream. Princesses give and love, and hopefully this Fall, you can begin your journey to becoming your own person who doesn't need to rely on others for pixie dust. That way, when you do run across someone or something that is so pixie-dusted, it will make it that much more special.

Wishing for Lots of Pixie Dust in Your Weekend,

Happy September! It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Today marks one of my favorite days of the year- the first of September. To me this date alludes to all the fun and fantasy the fall season brings. It signifies the trips to the apple orchard, pumpkin picking, warm boots, chunky sweaters, pumpkin spice lattes, and all of my favorite holidays. I know I have been terrible with the updates recently, but it is for a personal reason. I'm embarking on a new adventure, and so far, it has been incredible. Once I get into the swing of things for the fall, I will be posting on a Monday, Wedneday, Friday schedule. I just wanted to check in to let you know the Pixie Dust Princess is alive and well, and incredibly happy, too. I'm looking forward to sharing my favorite season with you, and delving into more Disney stories, more advice, and of course, more pixie dust.

If you have any ideas for upcoming blog posts you would like to see (pertaining to Fall/not) let me know in the comments!

NEW lesportsac Disney Fall Collection

So, I know I just did a post about the new Vera Bradley collection, yet there are more Disney bags on the market this fall!!! The newest collection by lesportsac is inspired by It's A Small World!

What I love about lesportsac bags is how functional they are. Quality isn't the only thing I look for in a bag, though. This pixie dust princess loves her cute patterns! Luckily, lesportsac has got plenty of them.

I can't wait to buy a bag- I'm really loving the backpack in the black pattern!

Are you loving this collection, too? If so, what are you looking to purchase (or what catches your eye if not)?

Lots of Love,
The Pixie Dust Princess

It's quite a lot of fun, actually! I'm glad I joined!

A Pinch of Positivity ~Creativity~

When I first created this blog, I decided that I didn't only wish for it to be a place Disney fans could receive the latest Disney news and creative tips, but a place to share inspiration and positivity. That's why today I am making it a goal for myself to write a "A Pinch of Positivity" post at least once a week. Us Disney fans have a lot in common- not only a love and passion for a creation that is so fantastic, but also many of us share inspiration to create, to be unique and to be ourselves in a world that needs the beautiful talents of special people.

For today's pinch of positivity, I wanted to remind you that you can always create something new. This remarkable ability is a beautiful gift we were all blessed with, because no matter how big or small this creation is, it will make a difference. Whether it be only you that see this creation, or your family, friends, or even a wide base of admirers, it has the ability to influence more creativity (even if it within yourself!).

I know when I started this blog, I had been inspired by other Disney and positivity- based blogs, and I had always wanted to begin my own blogging endeavor. This summer I finally put my love of writing, Disney, and positivity to the test. I truly hope with all my heart that just one person has been inspired to do something a little more creative in their lives after reading any of my blog posts. That's the great thing about creativity: once you have enough passion, you can always spark a little (or a lot!) of passion within another.

Maybe a reader has tested out a few Beautifully Disney makeup products, or has decided to go on a new snack hunt in one of the Disney parks. Each of these small activities can create so much wonder in ourselves that can lead to more creativity and pure fun.

I know sometimes people can take this "inspiration borrowing" as copying, yet I do believe imitation is the largest form of flattery. I know it takes a while to take in this concept and fully appreciate it, but just think; if you are inspiring others to do something the same or similar to what you do, doesn't that mean you've created something so enticing that others just need a bit of your creativity and passion in their lives?

The world needs more passionate human beings, and passion begets creativity and creativity begets passion. It is a beautiful cycle that leads to more discoveries, happiness, laughter, and hope.

Now, this weekend, I urge you to create. Maybe you've always wanted to draw- try it, you might like it, or even better, you could see some potential within yourself. Possibly you've been dying to take a spontaneous road trip- you never know what adventures are awaiting you. Try something new, get creative, and remember our pal Figment . . . all it takes it "one little spark"!

**p.s. Aren't those WDI imagineers so wonderful that they could create Figment (the cute purple dragon pictured above)? Figment urges visitors at EPCOT daily to use their imagination and create! Thanks, WDI, for inspiring ME <3**
